Colin & Karoline- Norland Historic Estate~ Lethbridge Wedding Photographer
Country meets City with these two! We were first able to get to know Colin & Karoline a little better after photographing their engagement session. Colin is a country boy through and through and he found his perfect match in Karoline, an urban coffee shop type of girl with a great sense of style! And as different as they are, they seemed to have aligned with each other in a way that brings out the best in the other.
We started out the wedding day with Karoline and the girls at Catwalk Salon, here in Lethbridge, and just down the street from our studio actually. Jo-Anne was absolutely amazing, and in Karoline’s words “Looovvvve her! And would highly recommend her”. We couldn’t agree more, Jo-Anne always does a fantastic job….and in fact did my hair for my wedding (14 years ago)…..which just aged us both **{hand-to-the-face}**. Sorry Jo-Anne!
Megan (our second photographer) for the day, spent some time with the Colin and the guys as they prepped with suits from Black & Lee before heading out to the Norland for the ceremony. We thought the groomsmen gifts of personalized mugs was a fantastic idea! And Megan was just an all-star all day in capturing different moments happening throughout the day and helping out with lighting where needed. Thanks Megan!!
The girls were set up in the upstairs rooms of the Norland preparing for the day, including the cutest little flower girl who was all in when it came to helping! She even wanted to help me create the shot below, so she held the reflector in the perfect spot to light up Karoline’s shoes and accessories. A few minutes later I was able to steal away a few moments with Karoline’s dad for his “first look” of his beautiful daughter. There were definitely a few tears shed as she gave her dad a hug before the ceremony was to begin.
Beautiful flower arrangements by Funky Petals here in Lethbridge. Chelsea knows flowers! And definitely high on our recommend list, and also our neighbour in downtown Lethbridge. She will take care of all your flower needs for any occasion with care and attention to detail.

Karoline’s gown was purchased from Novelle Brial Shop in Edmonton, Alberta with wedding gown alterations by “Debbie’s Fashion Designs” in Edmonton
Directly after the ceremony, the two of them stole away to have a few minutes with each other as the new Mr. & Mrs.
And of course, the Norland cat, Herwin, loved our bride and groom! He photobombed the shot 3 times, in fact. But he was so super cute, we overlooked it. Haha! 🙂
Incorporating a little bit of Karoline’s Polish heritage into the day!
After formals, everyone headed into the reception where the festivities were to start! The ball room was beautifully decorated by David Pranger at LA Chefs Decor. Colin & Karoline couldn’t say enough great things about LA Chefs. “Everyone raved about the delicious food. Thank you LA Chefs and Norland Staff! And a big thank you to David at LA Chefs for all his help and for making our wedding decor a Fairytale, especially the sequin tablecloths and uplighting!”
