Ryan and Nicole shared a beautiful day with family and friends as they were married at the Galt Museum here in Lethbridge. The day started at Catwalk salon for elegant hair styles on all the girls, then back to the house for make-up from the bride’s sister, Kendra Kusick. The bridal party was exclusively family members: Nicole’s sister, Ryan’s sister and Ryan’s niece, which made for an intimate and unique group. Jackie captured the emotion of the morning as the girls prepared together for the day and the excitement was in the air. The ladies looked stunning in their deep purple gowns from JJ House. They were only out-done by the dazzling Nicole in her dress from Durand Bridal and shoes from DSW. Ryan, being more reserved than Nicole, just had a quick shoot on location before the ceremony but he looked sharp in his suit from Simon, and I also managed to capture his unique socks that give an insight into his personality as well. What more could be done to make this wedding party look amazing? How about adding five adorable two-year-olds as flower girls and a handsome young ring bearer?! This group was adorable, even if they were a bit hard to handle. Their parents were troopers as they tried to direct them to where they needed to be, and Nicole loved every minute of it!
Following the beautiful ceremony the whole group went outside for family pictures on the grounds of the Galt museum. After family pictures, Nicole’s dad was proud to see the couple drive away in one of the cars from his collection. The wedding party met up at Japanese Gardens for formal pictures and we were pleased to find the forecast of rain was incorrect. We enjoyed enough sun to call for some beautiful umbrellas to give the bride some shade and create some wonderful photo opportunities.
Jackie captured this beautiful shot of Nicole with a little bit of creative swooshing and a lot of laughing!
The reception was held back at the Galt Museum and with the combined efforts of the staff from the Galt & caterers from LA Chefs, it was definitely an event to remember. The space was elegantly decorated and had additional touches that showed the couple’s fun-loving personalities, such as the Trivial Pursuit center pieces and the Lego cake topper. These great details combined with the gorgeous flowers from Panda Flowers West, whom the bride tells us were awesome to work with, gave Ryan and Nicole the day they were hoping for.
There were endearing speeches, excellent food and engaging music. Combined with a StandOut Photography photo booth, it was a fantastic night! We did sneak out at sunset to capture a few more images of the couple in this incredible setting. The day was a great blend of beauty and fun that exemplified this wonderful couple. Congratulations, and thanks for including us in your day!
And…Jackie’s very last shot of the day! We had a great time creating this image- just something fun to capture Ryan & Nicole’s fun loving relationship.
All the Best
