Tighe & Deara – Waterton Wedding Photography

Our Fall 2023 had the most incredible start with this stunning Waterton Wedding! When we reflect on this year’s most colourful season, this day is a true highlight. We are grateful to have been present for Tighe & Deara’s perfect day, which featured an intimate shoreside union & some breathtaking formals in the nearby mountain canyons.

Tighe & Deara’s wedding was located at the Kilmorey Lodge right on the water at Waterton Lakes, a classy lodge-style venue that was perfect for our pre-ceremony pictures.

Deara and her father did a “first-look” together by walking right out of their rooms onto the back gardens – where the ceremony took place shortly after.

We were wonderfully surprised to see Tighe’s father wed his son and Deara, and the ceremony was sealed with a kiss (and some memorable vows!)

Tighe and Deara and their whole Bridal Party were so much fun! We liked that they had lots of ideas for some memorable photos, and even wanted to match some photos taken at their weddings!

These photos were taken just a short drive up the road from where the couple wed, and we are so happy this group was willing to hike to get some absolutely stunning formals! Imagine us trying to yell posing instructions over the roar of the waterfall, because that’s exactly what was happening behind the camera – and everyone did a great job, kudos to this fantastic bridal party!

As the sun began to set, we headed back to Kilmorey Lodge for the wedding reception, an elegant room with a large fireplace and a beautiful view of the lake. The tables were laid out with a bag of skittles for each guest, Tighe’s favourite candy. We heard some wonderful speeches from the parents of the couple, which had the whole room laughing and smiling! It felt like one big family gathering, with most everyone seeming to know one another (we even saw a few familiar faces ourselves – we were seated with one of our first wedding couples, Tim & Kira!)
